WAAAAYYY too large. That will only give you trouble. Kads are even on the large side for a stock 1600 hence why so many have to jet them extra rich to make their engine run fair.

Thankyou for the info brotha i was curious because i haven'r seen anyone do it. I am sure it can be done but probably would cost alot more than most would spend using those carburetors. Thanks again Cool

Ditto on kads being too big. I just installed dual H30PIC's on my bone stock 36hp and even they feel a bit too big, there is no noticeable difference between half throttle and full throttle with them.

I never messed much with the stock stuff. It was always detailing. But if IRC correctly, Riechert stated a 6 hp increase when installing a set of 28 pct´s on a 30/36 hp. along with a slight increase in top speed.
If we look away from the durability issues with the stock 36 hp crank and focus on power increase on a stock(ish) engine a MAG or Shorrock/Speedwell supercharger would be the chioce. Stay away from the stupid Judson. It will only give you grief. If you are not all purist you can also go with an AMR300

I have seen Dell FRD's installed on a 36 and it ran great.
