Ya, Diamond grey. I think just weird coloring on the picture.

Quote: |
Tip to tip the length is 37"
From the beginning of the bend to the tip is 4 1/2" long
the diameter of the rod is 2.9mm |
Barndoor Bus Sunrof codes
V4 Dark Brown for a Barndoor Deluxe
Although in some period pictures the pre58 Deluxe sunroof appears to be a lighter brown…
V11 Brownish Beige for a Barndoor Standard

Beetle 2-fold sunroof: Where the headlining rods sit
^They sit below each trailing bow
^In full width pockets above where the trailing bows sit in their sleeve
^Sewn in at each end so the headlining stays taught across the full width of the sunroof opening, with no unsightly gaps. Remember to use rubber end caps, to help prevent the rods poking a hole through the headlining
^A rod in position in an original sunroof car
^So the rods sit here, above the seams. Remember the two screws too! No gaps… _________________ -StockRocks- |

Outlier!
Non-coded seem to have been an option in some years (1958/59?) for red cars

US Spec 1956/1957 Ovals lined up at the docks
Interesting to see the colour spread
I can only see 2 sunroofs
It’d be a Coral for me _________________ -StockRocks- |

Alpine train ragtop. Maybe Fjord Blue or Glacier Blue?
Post-Oval 58/59 due to the ice-pick door handles.
