Body back at Hessisch Oldendorf as it arrives from the paint shop. Check out the nicely done license plate pod and the blank painted number base area.

Fantastic detail, looking forward to the build up and seeing it in the flesh one day (hopefully). _________________ When I think of something to say - I'll be the first to know

Hard to believe that's been hand built, it's looking so good. Previously we were wondering if the radius at the top of the door and roof were correct, they certainly are now. _________________ When I think of something to say - I'll be the first to know

any detail on how the fenders are mounted? there doesn't appear to be any beading (i didn't realize they were removable) and it appears the bolts are vertical |

Beading will be added at the time of final assembly.
The inner wheel arch area is different to the production model. Those mounting bolts look almost vertical towards the door opening because of the sharp angle of the mounting surface.

Few more photo updates. Apparently, there are 10 coats of Nitro Cellulose paint on this body.

If I could express a wish ....
This car, once it is ready, along with 38/06 in the Automuseum Prototyp in Hamburg. Joining 39/03 and the Berlin - Rome. That would be really great! _________________ Greetings from Germany

Indeed have read through this thread and am utterly amazed at the talent that has gone into this car. Simply astounding.
Does make me wonder though, how does one get window seals for something custom like this? I understand the glass would be simple enough to have cut, but putting them in would be something that eludes me. _________________ The Story of my 72 |

If the rubber channel you need is not commercially available, you can get it custom made but you have to buy more than you need. |
