We relocated to Washington last summer. As we all know, it can be a challenge to find competent shops to wrench on our vans. Fortunately, we chose Small Car Performance near Tacoma. Originally we just intended to have stainless coolant pipes installed and the brakes checked. In the four weeks they had “Scarlett”, we were kept well-informed as several needed additional services were recommended. SCP gets five stars from us for their professional communication and trustworthy work! _________________ “Most everyone’s mad here. Yup, SCP is great! Austin and team converted my old lady way back in '21 and did a great job.
Also, you gotta love that opera music blasting from the gas station next door. _________________ '90 Vanagon Westy GL, AT, EJ22E conversion (1993 2.2L Legacy Engine) |

They had your van for a month and you’re happy. I’m guessing you didn’t take it in for just an oil change? _________________ 1991 tin top GL

Well, the oil we requested WAS incredibly rare and expensive. Apparently it comes from secret sources deep in the Amazon rainforest. LOL! _________________ “Most everyone’s mad here. You may have noticed I am not quite all there myself.” — Cheshire Cat, Adventures of Alice in Wonderland

I will add to the Small Car kudos - when my Subie-swapped/Small Car equipped broke down on a long road trip in the middle of nowhere, I reached out via email that evening to Austin who responded within a couple of hours (late into the night) and arranged to have one of his techs reach out to me the next morning via phone to walk me through the dilemma and come up with a plan. Entirely grateful for that level of customer service. _________________ 1991 Westfalia EJ251, 1972 Volvo 1800 ES |

Just adding to the chorus. I had them do the subaru swap on my Doka. They were super helpful about the process (and helping with some customs issues), stood by their work when an issue came up, and have been helpful when I've had questions over the last 18 months. Stand up folks doing very nice work. _________________ 89 VW Cabriolet

Would it be helpful for y'all to record these opinions in the Buyer and Seller Feedback thread? I'm not sure where people will most likely find your feedback.
I think this is what exists for Smallcar Performance:
