images loading into gallery in random order?

This may be a user error, and not a site issue, but when I upload photos, I am often loading a batch of pics I took in a sequence. When I get to the 'insert photo from my recent Gallery photos' they are in a random order. They are also no longer titled what they were on my computer, naturally. This - coupled with size of thumbnails - can make it hard for me to tell if I am choosing the right image; I need to load it, do 'preview,' and delete and repeat.

Do I need to stop posting a group in each 'bracket' and just put a single image in each slot? Or is this just the way it works? No complaints if it is what it is... just hoping to stop making any avoidable mistake that wastes my time.

It doesn't sound like you are doing anything wrong but I'm not sure as I've always noticed my photos uploading in the correct order. I don't do more than around 10 at once.

The only thing I can think of is that some have a big difference in file size so that some get uploaded faster so they are "first" to be processed, if that makes sense. I don't know if this is true though.

I looked at some batches of photos I uploaded recently and they are in the right order on the "Insert Photo" listing on the Forums "Post Reply" screen but they were all very similar in dimensions and file size.

I almost always use only the first "Upload" box on the Add photo screen and pick all of the photos I want to upload, as long as they are already in the right order on my computer. This means they are in alphabetical order like pic1, pic2, pic3, etc. Otherwise I use multiples of the "Upload" boxes on the Gallery Upload screen so I can make sure they are in the right order.

Thanks; the resizing delay makes some sense. I'll play around with it next time I post a number of pics and see what works best.
