Still got this, yesterday was a beautiful sunny late autumn(fall) day, so I washed and polished the 63 ready to drive a 250 mile round trip to the Slough VW swap meet today. Typical English weather, it rained all the way there and back.

That sounds like our Michigan weather. I remember once in May going to a VW Vintage Club show and passing thru a snow shower on the way there. That's how messed up our weather is. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

Awesome thread and some incredible work you’ve done here.
I just read through all 13 pages while sitting on a job site waiting for the city inspector to show up and sign off an electrical permit.
I must say you’ve got some amazing skills to be able to weld like you do and then paint the body and rebuild the motor as well. I’m one of the guys who is not super afraid of trying things, but I don’t have a lot of experience so we’ll see how it goes for me bringing my ‘73 Squareback back to road-worthy status. But this thread has definitely given me plenty of inspiration to go forward with it.
Cheers and amazing job. She’s a real beauty. |

At least you're out driving it, and putting some miles on it. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

Agreed! I'm sure the smiles per gallon average is really high. _________________ 1963 Notchback - Ruby Red
