In my neck of the beach, there is a steel supply warehouse. Industrial Metal Supply, Inc. They are in Irvine, CA. They also have tooling and welding supplies for sale. _________________ Jimbo

Jimbo - do you mean Industrial Metal Supply? I'd been looking for metal for bodywork and searched but didn't find "International", but rather "Industrial". _________________ .

Cool, thanks. What metal thickness is recommended for fenders, apron, etc.? _________________ .

VW's were built with 1 mm steel. That works out to 19 gauge, which can be a challenge to find. I generally use 20 gauge if 19 isn't available. 18 works as well, but can be a bit tougher to form. _________________ PM me about quality metal-work on your vehicle.
