I took my 95 EVC to Austin VeeDub yesterday for a VCDS Scan to see if we might get more info. I have an intermittent CEL and the Digifant blink codes is 2322 which is "Intake air temperature sensor".
The VCDS confirmed Intake air temp sensor, but also had 4 other issues come up. Here's a pic of the results. Looking for help on sorting these out.

I don't really "know" what to do, but will post where I'd start and maybe other will chime in who know better.
On the 00523, 00519, and 00560 codes- I'd be looking at the Bentley for those items for next steps of diagnosis. Another thing I'd do just because it's easy is clean all the electrical contacts for the items, check all the grounds, and clean the contacts on the ECU. Be careful disconnecting, reconnecting the ECU it's fragile and irreplaceable.
For 00537, I'd just replace it if you never have.
For 00758 I'd live with it. All it does is make you pollute a little more on start-up only. Yes, pollution is very very bad but the stock replacement parts for that system are not available. There are ways to adapt other parts to work, documentation is on vwvortex. There are also ways to just eliminate the system and fool the ECU to think it's working, again, vwvortex.
Finally, even though others might say this is the wrong thing to do- if I did everything I could think of, was in the Bentley, and could find on the internet- I'd just clear the codes and drive it for a while, see if they come back.
Hope that helps, or others chime in. _________________ 1991 Vanagon GL 2.1 AT Westfauxlia. "Frankie" Totaled https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=764510&highlight=carnage

The tech did clear my codes and I had no check engine light for the 20 mile drive back home. BUT, the next morning,....I had a NEW Blink code...1344 which is "Secondary air injection system fault" |

| I discovered that my secondary air injection pump was completely seized,....rusted solid. Perhaps this could cause the short to ground?? I have a new air pump coming. Hopefully it clears the faults. |
