hi , anybody knows a source for the pot metal dash moldings retaining clips found in 58 to 60 bugs ?? any help will be greatly appreciated ! looking for a nos glove box molding , same years . _________________ in my Garage:
1951 crotch cooler split
1958 convertible
1971 1302 convertible
1981 Mercedes Benz 230 military "Gelandewagen"
2010 Mercedes Benz c200 kompressor touring |

Are you talking about the round push nuts that go over the studs on the back of the trim, as seen in picture below?

You can pretty much get them anywhere, auto parts or hardware store, etc. You just need to know that size. Off the top of my head, im not sure about the size, so it may be best to take your trim out with you on your hunt.
Edit: I see your not from the states, I would look online. I see you can also get them in various sizes at places such as amazon.

I hate those things, but yes, you can get them at almost any hardware store.
I had some trim that I had to take off periodically so I could clean around it. Those metal push-on things are one-time use, unless you're lucky.
I punched holes in inner tube rubber to use in place of them and never looked back.

I got these for the hood emblem for my 1960. I then saw the identical clips at the hardware store and bought more. They seem to work for the dash molding.
