Hi Paul,

Yes, it's tuned in, and sorted out.

I spent the majority of the summer 2014 shaking it down and working out the bugs.

It's got about 2k trouble free miles on it since.

Dustin

2016 is off to a great start. The Edmondson ghia is back to its prime fighting weight.

Big thanks to Mike and his team at House of Ghia for helping with the last 5%, and getting the dash hole (previously cut out for a modern CD Player Mad ) fixed.

It's kinda cool being able to click back over to page 1 of this thread, and see the progression of the car over the years. Here's the finished product:

I think not only would Frank be amazed to see how his Ghia has survived the last 57 years but very thankful it fell into the right hands. Smile

Update to a post from page 8 of this thread.

The other notable Chevrolet Executive standing to the right Duntov in this picture is Harley Earl:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harley_Earl

It only took 8 (ish) years to connect the dots. Hey, tracking down these details is all part of the fun right?

January 1960 - The legendary Zora Arkus-Duntov "Father of the Corvette" seen at a race carefully studing the Edmondson ghia. He's the one wearing a black tux & bow tie, smoking a cigarette. Note the `vette parked behind him, Duntov brought the corvette to this race. Story goes he spent 1 hour solid examining the ghia, engine lid is up per his request so he could get a closer look at the engine. The guy to his right is a Chevrolet Executive.

TRS63, thanks for stopping by. I recently spent some time going through this thread, starting at page 1. It tells the story really well in my opinion.

Here's a current picture of the ghia. This was taken in the staging area of the Forest Grove Concours Tour d'Elegance. Some pretty amazing cars, great people, food, and wine. It's a classic car tour through Oregon's wine country.

Howdy, it's been a while since I updated this thread.

My oldest son chose the ghia as the prom night car.

Here's a video of it coming out of storage, getting started for the first time after a long winter's nap:

And it made the show:

Hope everyone has a great summer and puts some miles on those ghia. That's our plan.

Take it easy,
