I was cleaning the interior, and the panels were too far to save. I managed to take off the door panel armrests. Are they original to the bug? I saw this in the gallery

And This is what came off my bug:

If not already mentioned 67 was the only year to use the 30 pict-1 carb that had the power valve.

There is a trifold accessory brochure in the archives section called "What Goes On Here?" that describes a package of accessories including:

Rubber Guardians for the bumper guards,
Wheel Trim Rings (beauty rings),
Gravel Guards for all four fenders,
Chrome Door Edge Guards,
Chrome Door Handle Shields,
Stainless steel Door Vent Shades,
Stainless steel Door Post Kick Plates,
Stainless steel Door Sill Protectors,
Luggage Rack,
Plus a group of car care items including touch-up paint, car cleaner and wax, and all purpose cleaner for whitewalls and interior.

The brochure is labeled as 1967, was this a 67 only package?

I bought my 67 from the original owner and this entire package was on the car from the dealer (I have the invoice). Nearly all the pieces were with the car when I bought it and I have been able to replace all of the missing pieces (except the car care items) in the meantime.[/vimeo]

That's my pic - as far as I know, the door panel and arm rest are both 100% stock and original.

Page 10 has a short discussion on them with a nice pic of the part number and correct hardware:
