72 super beetle side chrome molding installation

Hi folks. I'm trying to install side chrome moldings on my 72 Super Beetle. The car had been applied putty and had been painted. There are supposed to be holes where the clips for the chrome moldings go. I could find under the front hood where the holes and the broken clips were, but I have no idea where these holes for the clips are on the door or the rear quarter panels. if also like to know what the size of the holes are for the clips. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
