Needing door pulls for my '65 but not impressed with $55 empi chrome ones. Seeking alternative approaches. Pics would be great. I don't care if they are made from antler or iron, but I would like to see some examples others have used.
I enjoy fabricating stuff out of whatever, so I'm "imagineering", but will go with with a standard part if it looks good. Thanks _________________ "A life of peace and happiness depends on your own gratefulness" |

If you don't find an alternative that fills the bill, Jbugs has stock replacement door pulls/arm rests in a variety of colors > Arm rests

Not sure what you're going for. Do you have some kind of theme for this project (Volksrod? Rat Rod? Cal Look? Other?). There are some pretty creative folks on The Samba that probably wouldn't mind posting photos of custom fabrication they've done. _________________ Tom

I'm going for anything Except expensive ($98 for 2 arm rests,etc.). Not specific to anything, just need examples or ideas. Im not adverse to fabricating or using something off another car. Metal, leather, wood, plastic are all possibilities. Just seeking imagination or realized creations by others.Pics, anyone? _________________ "A life of peace and happiness depends on your own gratefulness" |

I've seen some pretty cool door pulls made from old wrenches. Just google "wrench door pulls" and check under images. _________________ Where would this hobby be if no one shipped parts.

Repurpose something.. Use your imagination.
On of your old worn (pants) belts bolted through door panels or to upper sheet metal in a pull loop. It will seem like an old friend . _________________ aka Ken {o\!/o}
