Finding a Teak driver side rear armrest for Fast?notch has proven to be the hardest part to find. EVER! Have the complete set for squareback, but want to keep my options open. Don't really care for Teak panels of carpet.

I'd love to find my old teak square that I sold when I was still in the Army.

Very cool

Weird how high and level it looks, like it hasn't sagged at all over time.

Pigalle Fastback seen in German movie "Nordsee ist Mordsee" (1976) translated North sea is murder sea. Its steering wheel appears to be black in the upper shot but the lower one clearly shows the red.

There is no information about what happened to Pigalle/Teak after January 1966.

By the way, there are some other mistakes in this color chart.

I would not call them mistakes, there were different brochures for different markets.

Pigalle / Teak ended in December '65. I think they kept going with the basic color configs like seat and door panel colors. For example, they kept going with red seat covers and door panels, but ditched the full pigalle dash, column, seat bases, carpet, etc.

Let me know what is wrong so I can fix it since it's from the VW books and brochures.
You need to provide sources like brochures or other VW materials.

As far as I know, Pigalle/Teak ended and it went back to the other colors listed.
For example, Pigalle says "up to Chassis No. 316 140 226"

Some later cars had red interiors like seats and door panels but the other red parts like the dash and column were standard colors like black.

Agreed. When I get some time I can look through my brochures and upholstery books and see if there's more info floating around.

I would love to see those late '66 examples too.

Here is a mistake.

According to VW Color Combinations - Volume II - VW 1500/Karmann Ghia...
https://www.thesamba.com/vw/archives/manuals/vwcolors_volume_ii.php

for Models 315-318, 365-368; M 233: 311-314 (N/Basic/No-frills models) August 1963 up to July 1964
All seats were letherette.

The "see brochure" for above model links to Canadian 1500TS brochure which is not No-frills models.

Thank you for your explanation.
Since the color chart on thesamba doesn't list detailed color, it's not a mistake.
But I think it's worth to mention about pigalle/teak thing in the chart.
