Body Panels & Hatch Compatibility ‘85 Westfalia & ‘86 Vanagon

I have an ‘85 Westfalia Camper which I am trying to replace unrepairable body parts; the entire rear hatch door & rear corner panels to start.

I found an ‘86 vanagon for parts that has a lot of what I need. I just want to make sure the body parts are compatible before I drive 3 hours and trailer a junk van. Can i get confirmation from some of the knowledgeable, ever wise and experienced members of the samba? Will the 86 rear hatch door be able to be installed in the ‘85 Westfalia pop top from the non pop top ‘86 vanagon? Same question for the rear panels (the panels with the air vents)

If my prayers are coming true and the parts are interchangeable, I may do a happy dance.

l think so.
l have plans to be changing out the same, on my 85 westy, before she gets repainted.
l have an '84, the tailgate may well interchange, but the sliding door definitely won't.
