Please help me out here. Why do these two Turquoise VWs look so different? (Or is the Bus not turquoise?)
PS - What year is the bus?

Holy Smoly
My folks had a 61 Bug and a 63 Microbus, both Turkis color, AND our house was painted nearly the same color too.
I have them two cars, but the bus is all pulled apart right now.
That photo is bringing back memories. _________________ Sorry About That Chief.

Bug could be painted in Pastel blue given that it appears to be a 61 but even that seems slightly off. |

That bug has not a VW colour, at least of that years. The colour on the bus has the rigt direction. Pastel blue, gulf and turquoise have another shade. |

The engine lid was repainted and probably the rear fenders as well, but the roof paint seems pretty old and possibly original(?). It is definitely darker. I looked up 1961 turquoise VW Beetle on Google and the colour range in what came up is all over the place. Regardless, when I drive the Beetle, the colour is what gets the most comments and thumbs up. |

Park the Bug next to a '93 GMC Sonoma painted '93 GMC Seafoam Green.
Maybe, I'm right, maybe I'm wrong.

For another comparison, here's the original factory paint turquoise from my friend Greg's '63 (63vwdriver), taken in 2017 but still looks this good-
I'd say that the OP's photo of the Beetle has a slightly more "intense" shade of turquoise, going to the generic "seafoam green"/mint shade.

Thanks all for your thoughts and comments.
Here is another photo of my Beetle. The colour looks different under different conditions:
