Finally got Ol’ Herb put back together
Wasn’t in a hurry (which is always good)
Replaced the oil cooler seals and removed the adapter and oil psi gauge
Hopefully I got the leak fixed

Check for a bad distributor seal where it goes in the case as well.
Car's looking good. _________________ 1960 Ragtop w/Semaphores "Inga" |

Thanks
I ordered a new engine seal kit to get the Distributor seal.
I'm gonna replace that as well just to be sure. _________________ Currently:

I replaced All of the seals and stuff
The oil leak has slowed
I think It’s a break-in /overfill situation
Gonna monitor it
Anyway
More little improvements
Replaced the ivory escutcheons on the door handles and window cranks with light grey
The ivory crank and dash knobs are gonna be replaced at some point
I think silver beige is the correct color
?
Thoughts

Correct color of escutcheons, door handles, window cranks, dash knobs as delivered would be (for De Luxe Models):
- 7.63: ivory
8.63-7.64: silver beige
In my opinion silver beige could better a better color-match, but is not original |

Yeah, my whole car isn’t “original” lol
I’m trying to get that Herbie look.
Ibought all ivory because I assumed That’s what I was looking at in screen.
It turns out I iry Was too bright and too much contrast
Silver grey is more accurate to the look I’m after.
