hello all,

setting up dual weber 34 ICT’s and want to relocate the fuel inlet barbs to line up the fuel lines better.

looks like there are other bungs on the carb that aren’t used . can these be drilled and tapped?

size: 1/8” npt to hose barb?

how to pull the existing brass barb out? thread screw in it and make some sort of puller? or heat housing with torch and pull barb with pliers?

figured i’d ask first before getting into it and fking sheet up.

thank you for all help. much appreciated Dancing

I'm running dual ICH's, same as ICTs but with chokes and power valves.
I just twisted and pulled the press in barbs out, only had .001 press.
The existing hole is already .342 in diameter so it's correct for a 1/8-27 pipe tap. Although, it's shallow so you'll have to get it a little deeper.
I also had another dull tap that I ground about 1/8" off the end. Just going with 1 standard pipe tap won't work, the hole would have to be too deep to match the 90 degree fittings.

thanks Dan. nice work.

my inlet barbs didn’t want to come out. they would rotate but not come out

the first barb i ended up breaking apart with vice grips trying to get it out. cut off the rest and then drilled it out.

the second one i tried pulling but same result. drilled it out too.

but the drilling and tapping went ok. so good to go as far as i can tell.

I had to turn mine facing down, just no room on the driver's side. Even then, I had to dimple the firewall with a broom handle.
