This is the High Fidelity Long-Travel-Cone Heavy Magnet Speaker and Bracket with Mounting Screw.
I added the thicker nylon washer. Original from Westfalia was a whitish thin fiber washer. Also the original dash screw was cadmium plated Pan Slot. |

Was this offered by Westfalia? Any documentation or other examples? I had the same setup in my 67 SO42 but assumed it was just some PO hack that didn't care about drilling a hole in his dash. The speaker in mine was long gone (replaced by a Kraco) but the bracket remained.

Dunno. The Blaupunkt and Emden radios with the piggy-back amplifier were supposed to use the high-watt heavy-magnet long-travel cone speaker or it would blow out the windings of the speaker. I've seen a radio brochure with the speaker and bracket but I have no idea where to find that. |

I can't bring myself to drill a hole in the face of the dash. I think I'll pursue the usual bottom lip mount. That's two holes but both are mostly not visible.
Thank you for the great info! |

That sure looks like a bay window speaker mount. Are you 100% sure that came original to a 67 bus? _________________ Samba Member #95 |
