Does anyone know why Epytec doesn't sell to the USA and Canada? _________________ '84 Campmobile |

I am in Europe now and have talked with many vendors that I have purchased from in the last year. The consensus is that the chances of having your product copied, sold from under you and your design are extremely high when you send them to the States. The two most popular big brake kits have been borrowed by the US sellers as it has been described to me. I have a few adapter kits for Vanagons coming back soon to mount on our vans. You can have a third party buy here in Europe and ship the items or bring them back in luggage. |

"No honor amongst thieves".
I would be curious to see how the brake hoses attach to this setup if you have a picture. |

No report on the difference between stock and 312mm front discs? |
I have that size brake on my van.
Not this kit but rather that size and dual piston calipers.
Night and day difference.
How this size works with that caliper is only a guess, though..... _________________ "Use the SEARCH, Luke" But first visit the Vanagon FAQ!

Hi All
Great video John!!
That has motivated me to undertake a 312mm conversion.
Hubs machined, Calipers refurbed, disks sorted.
Just need braided hoses - Noted 500mm length was long enough. Is there any car Audi/VW where standard off the shelf lines would fit?
What is the part number for ATE57 calipers?
Any help would be much appreciated.
I have some photos that I'll put up once completed next week.
I have already completed Sharan rear conversion and BMW E30 servo upgrade.
These works are all necessary for the 2.7Bi Turbo engine that will go in (it's in my workshop, so it's happening). No point in having the power if you cant stop!! |

We make up steel braid hoses as needed. Check Pegasus Auto Racing. Use adapters to go to AN #3 |

I know I am once again digging up an old dead thread. But, for me it is current. I have recently discovered the videos from John (which are great by the way) and they have led me to purchase the adapters from Epytec. I was looking at what Burley Motorsport had to offer, however I am reluctant to buy anything form the States due to the current Leadership and looming trade wars ( or perhaps real war, 'cus you just don't know). It seems as though Burley's are suspiciously identical to what Epytec has to offer, which for people in the US would be a better deal. So?
Anyways, I will be swapping to the 312mm front rotors and the 294mm rears. The fronts are essentially 2001 Audi A6 4.2v8 and the rear are 2003 premium Eurovan. This should be a big step up from the stock 258mm fronts and drum rears. All of this should fit inside my 16' MB alloy wheels.
I am too lazy to post updates about the process, but I will update once done to report on the results.

Yes the burley ones are a direct copy of the Eyptec, and yes the calipers and brackets and rotors are all eurovan. _________________ 87 gl powerd buy 2.5subaru

Okay, just a minor update. I have purchased the Epytec front and rear adapters and I am waiting for it to arrive from Germany. Meanwhile I have purchased the rotors, which are 2001 Audi A6 312mm front and 2003 VW Eurovan 294mm rears. I also have picked up new rear calipers (VW Eurovan) and front calipers (Ate57s from the A6 with 288mm rotors). Brake cable are on the way also now that I know these rotors and caliper fit in my Mercedes wheels.
I will post more pics once the adapters and hubs arrive from Germany.
