I have an oval window with a late September build date. She is a 57 model year. The driver side heater outlet is forward and the passenger side is back. Do we know what serial number they changed over at? The heater knob is between the seats.
Thanks for any help |

They were moved back in December 56 starting with vin 1385974.
Sounds like someone changed the passenger side channel with a later model. _________________ 11/2/54 L227 Strato Silver Ragtop - Build Thread

When you refer to driver side "heater outlet" are you talking about the forward-most round outlet that hot air from the heater channel ducting underneath the cylinders and pushrods would force forward into the actual heater boxes when the flap doors are closed to then head into the cars interior to warm you up? I have a Dec of 1956 produced Kabrio that is about 400 chassis numbers earlier than the chassis number mentioned as when the change happened. I'm not clear on what change you are discussing. Any photos showing what you are asking about? Thanks!

Exactly, gefne99's passenger side should look like my late oval channel front heat outlets (1366xxx = through vin 1385974), before they moved back.
