Pecan tree, closer pic too since it's hard to see in the distance. No current nuts, so it's up for consideration, I suppose.

A lot of the area around here are old pecan orchards so there are some old ones still hanging around, though the one I'm parked under isn't old enough to have been one of those.

How about your VW at an ice cream parlor/store. Be it Dairy Queen, or better yet, a local one.

Nut is behind the camera; still counts.

I have spent a week trying to find an old fashioned chocolate-dipped soft serve cone in my valley. Does not exist, save for the occasional Mr. Softee truck (like once a month). No Dairy Queen. No Foster's Freeze. It's pathetic!

I posted on Nextdoor. 85 useless posts about shops in other towns, mistaken (closed) local shops, memories, scolding that gelato or custard is better... USELESS! Yet I have 20,000 views, so there must be SOME interest! But I think I'll have to sit this one out! Evil or Very Mad

My uncle used to send me a box of pecans (still in shell) from his tree in his backyard in Texas. I learned early on not to open the box inside my house, as not just pecans would be in the box when he'd shovel them up... Rolling Eyes

Emily next to a small ice cream store named Cones. It's 85F today, and I'm surprised I found a spot out front.

If image acceptable, the next challenge - YVWNT a kid run lemonade stand, bonus points you actually spent money on said lemonade.
