I have a heavy red wire that runs from the front trunk to the positive battery terminal. It is not connected in the front and has the unusual connector seen below at the battery. The PO installed this and I have no idea what it was for.
The double connector confuses me. The PO had a big amplifier at one time so it may have been for that. Or could it be to gauges I no longer have?

Definitely a parts-house fuse holder.

Wire’s too big for gauges, and too small for a big amplifier. But lots of people cut corners on amp wiring.

So it probably went to that big amplifier…
