Does anyone have a good non leaking / cracked bleeder valve assembly? Mine is cracked, was a slight seep, but not it is toast. Currently have the bleeder deleted for moving the EV at the house. 02 Eurovan weekender, manual HVAC.
I believe it was part of the heater core hose or another hose assembly as there is no VW part number on this. Likely discontinued anyway.
Closest part I have found is this, but it is not at the right spot on the elbow.

I could drill a hole in the heater core hose like the b5 s4 and bleed from the clamp (APB block also has a coolant bleeder at the block).
Thanks! |

I just spent a ton of time studying various coolant related threads, this one in particular by KBATTPO is very valuable: https://www.vwvortex.com/threads/2003-eurovan-various-improvements-to-the-cooling-system.8956625/
He discusses replacing the part you are asking about with a brass pex elbow and adding a bleeder valve to it, after drilling and tapping. _________________ 2003 Westfalia Weekender, AXK, 01P |

Just omit it. You don't need a bleeder if you use the vacuum filling method. |
