Does anyone know what the export code TR (transit sales) means?
Its on a 1967 Samba bus M-Code and I am trying to understand where it was originally imported to. Any help would be appreciated

Just ran across a 66 Westfalia SO42 with the same TR in the port code section. No idea what it means but first time I've seen it. _________________ RPM=(MPH*336* (R&P*4th*1.26))/Tire Diameter in inches |

I wonder if it had something to do with US Service members stationed overseas?
I bring this up because the '66 Westy that you mentioned has US Spec m-codes but also has Dusty Conditions air cleaner, Heavy Duty Shocks, and Locking Differential which makes me guess that it came from either the Middle East or South America but was destined to be shipped to North America at some point.
I would love to hear Lind's thoughts on this as I don't know anyone who has studied literature more than he has. _________________

Could be a special program they offered but cant find any literature about it yet. Lit King Lind may have some.
There are a couple posts on the samba with Bay Windows with the same TR code so not split specific. _________________ RPM=(MPH*336* (R&P*4th*1.26))/Tire Diameter in inches |

I have not seen that code. I will dig through some books that I have, but I am not optimistic that I have anything on that. _________________ .
