I'm rewiring my buggy with a rebel harness, & trying to figure out a way to make the headlights & housings easily removable without cutting wires.
(Dietz style housings only require 1/2" hole in body)

My best idea so far is to replace the supplied molded 3 pin headlight terminal with 3 individual female spade terminals that could be pulled through 1 at a time.

Any other suggestions??

If you think you'll be removing your headlights / housings that often, your solution sounds pretty reasonable.

I've removed my hood at least once a year for the last 10 years - if I loosen the big nut holding on each of the headlights enough, the headlights droop / swivel out of the way and I can remove the hood pretty easily without pulling the headlights off completely (I have the big 3 pin headlight terminals).

Thanks. Yeah, I usually don't leave anything alone for too long. I imagine the hood will be coming off frequently. Laughing

23 year since build and have not removed headlights yet.....

But yes push on spade or bullet (male/female) connectors may be your answer...
