Has anyone ever seen one?
Every car I’ve seen has gates molded shut, or deleted like the newer HWs examples.

Other than some very old and rare tin toys, I'm not aware of any diecast with working gates. _________________ We are striving for perfection, to make our cars run forever, if possible.

I have two sets of these. Seem to be 1/64. All of them have working tailgates. They are stuck to this cardboard somehow. Top appears to be a map of Germany. No name on it. Let me see how these come off and maybe there’s a name on the bottom.

I have the dk blue over green one - I didn't realise the tailgate moved as it is stiff and the hinges are hidden! on the bottom it just says vw combi and there is a logo that looks like a lower case italic h in a box - which is maybe hongwell toys ltd whose brand name is cararama. are yours screwed to the card? _________________ "we're here on Earth to fart around" kurt vonnegut

I didn't get a chance to look at them. I actually just sold them today at the Volks-Fair VW show in NH. |

I have a few of the 1/64 (maybe 1/72 ? ) and also some matching Hongwell (very well detailed) single cabs in 1/40 (1/43 ? ) scale.
