Attended a cars & coffee event Sat morning out in the Valley put on by The Frose Brothers. Some really nice rides and met a good bunch of people. It was a beautiful drive out and back and met up with and tucked in behind a Super Beetle on the way there and a nice Splitty on the way back.

Thanks Tom & soissisc.

The white convertible is based on a Puma GT from Brazil I believe. I don't know much about it other than it's a fiberglass shell on some sort of VW frame.

Uh, can you use the "Flux-Capacitor" here and return back to last weekend and focus on the HEB in the background of this pic?

I wonder if that's a legit HEB?
That thing would have taken up some of my time at the show! Cool

Thanks, Tom.

Headed to The BC Interior camping for a few days. About 600 miles round trip over the Coquihalla to 5A to Kamloops, and Hwy 1 to Chase and then on to Anglemont and surrounding area. We had great weather and the Bus ran flawlessly.

Tom, your Bus is in great shape so I can't imagine much needs to be done to continue taking you wherever the road leads.

That's a nice Early Bay Tin Top in the pic!. I like the colour. Did you buy another Bus?

Going to the Great Canadian show this weekend? In Tsawwassen Mills center. May decide to have my bus up for sale.

Hi pittwagen

Yes, planning to be at The Great Canadian VW Show on Sunday. I'll look for your Bus there and stop by to say hello.

Finally finished off my A/C dual zone project in my Bus. Had a 1 evaporator design ready to install last year but decided to make it a dual zone and modified and added a 2nd heater core and A/C evaporator unit from a friends Subaru swap project between the seats last year. The heat works great in the winter and now the A/C is working well too.

We had outside temps in the low 30C (high 80s F) today and took the Bus for a 40 minute drive on the hwy out further in the valley where the temps were a bit higher and the temp inside the Bus hovered around 25C (77F) and was comfortable. I should have closed all the curtains in the back too, to see if I could bring it down to 22-23C (~75F) but could notice the drop in humidity inside the Bus.

Happy that it has all come together. I used everything from my 2000 Subaru Legacy donor including the heater - A/C control as well as the original compressor, just had new lines made up with tee junctions and bought and installed a new dryer. We reused all the original fittings.

Had 1 hiccup when I decided to wire in the condenser fans into the regular circuit due to time constraints and blew a fuse when I tried to start and run everything at once. I could have upped the fuse to 25 Amps but decided to take the time and ran a new direct #10 gauge fused power source to the fans so that the regular circuit operates as normal, without the extra load.

I still remember Robbie at my shop with the bike on the top, *SMACK* didnt realize the garage door wasnt quite open enough Laughing

No harm done, lots of fixes to the bus and still going great.

The dual zone AC sounds nice, it will be almost 100 today and I'm just putting around with the windows down suffering Cool
