Alternative passenger mirror mount with perfect view

I've had a few close calls from lack of visibility so I fabbed a passenger mirror mount from aluminum scrap. It allows for a perfect view of passenger side. Much safer! Good view for ANY year bug - if you don't mind drilling to mount a permanent fixture.
The peep has a convex over it--but really limited

That bracket looks very suitable. I wouldn't drill any new holes in my door, so I wonder if installing a hinge mirror with lengthened stem would look weird.

BGW sedan delivery, More pics in kit car under "BGW". This is needed on this car but I'm considering one for my '71 bug, since it provides a much safer view.

I'm beginning to wonder if I'm the only guy on the planet who has a BGW sedan delivery. A lot like a Wizard, but different rear door.
