I can't tell on the possible roll-backs but that may be normal ragtop covers laying on the back of the roof waiting for installation?

Nice!

Yes, that would be three-folds being installed. What's most interesting to me is how gigantic the floor space was, and how underutilized it would be until the late '50s. This can be seen in the Peter Keetman photos as well. Nordhoff had expansion space!
