^ ooh, harsh!
it was a good day for odd motor spotting - saw this alpine in french racing blue and was pleasantly surprised by its size (petite). also saw a triumph tr6 at the roadside (hopefully just parked up) and a classic mini that had been cut down to make a moke type thing from the A posts back. however I wasn't able to take snaps of those

Those Alpine’s are one good looking car, especially in that blue.
There is an old (1950’s) Sunbeam Talbot Alpine that shows up at our local Cars & Coffee in the same color although they have a similar name, they are different manufacturers. _________________ Prosit!

my brother in law has a new alpine (he pronounces it 'alpeener' for some reason) and it has to keep going back to the dealer to get fixed _________________ "we're here on Earth to fart around" kurt vonnegut

That'll be the Renault DNA coming through.

Had a Megane for a while. Only car I regret owning. _________________ Andy

Yeah, I like the look of the Renault 5 EV and it has had rave reviews. It looks like it could be great as an around-town car (and it's not hideously expensive by new car standards), but having owned a Renault I'd just struggle to trust it. Seems like they failed to learn anything about reliability from Nissan. _________________ Andy

Stopped to pick up some blueberries and cherries after paddleboarding today and this beauty pulled up next to us.

Nice car. If I was a betting man. I’d wager the owner is from PROC or LA area. That’s not a slight to either.
Many cool super cars in the Vancouver area.

The driver reminded me of Rodney Dangerfield and had too bright and colourful clothes. Nice guy, had a quick coversation with him and his wife/girlfriend. He was visiting from Calgary and had Alberta plates. Lot's of Supercars in Vancouver though so not all that rare.
Was in the low 90s F out in the valley today so we were driving the back roads with all the windows open. I may have dual zone A/C in the Bus on Tues if all goes well and won't need to open the back windows while driving anymore unless camping. We'll see. _________________ *******************************

caught a glimpse of a triumph tr7 in traffic today, sounded like a v8 engined one that we flogged to the US back in the day...it was 70s turd brown which stood out amongst the silver/grey/black/white suvs.

Triumph TR7 with V8 engine = Triumph TR8. _________________ “If you care for a thing long enough, it takes on a life of its own, doesn't it? Mending old things, preserving them, looking after them – on some level there's no rational grounds for it.”

I saw a Toyota HiAce in Lancaster PA a few weeks ago. I didn't know it exists.
It was decked out to be off-road or a camper. It looked like it may have been a 4x4 and had a roof rack with a ladder. Looked pretty cool. I was following it and didn't take a picture but it looked a little like this one.
Oh, and it also had foreign license plates but I can't remember where from.

That Toyota is pretty cool in my book.
If I wasn't already paying off a Tundra, I might consider looking for one of those HiAce vans.
I dig the, almost complete exoskeleton. _________________ I have learned over the years.

The one I saw didn't have the full exoskeleton setup but it was build up to be pretty robust with roof rack, ladder and beefy tires. Didn't get a good look at the front but it looked like it had a brush guard/bull bar or something. _________________ 1970 Bug
