We have a 1976 912E in the shop, we have it running well but she has a blown main seal on the engine. She is pouring out engine oil. We are going to pull engine and replace the main seal.

While we have the engine out I thought it may be wise to replace
-trans main shaft seal
-throw out bearing
-clutch disc
-pressure plate

We are having a heck of a time finding or confirming what parts are correct to order for this car. Any and all help info appreciated
Todd

It's basically a Type 4 engine so yop might want to ask in the Bay forum.

Also the 912BBS has a 912E specific forum:

Behind the flywheel, there are 3 plugs for oil gallery. Sometimes they get loose. Check them.
Parts: Pelican, Stoddard, they also have tech tipps.
It´s basically a VW type 4 engine. Also in bay´s and 914 used. The 912 E, if original, has some parts of it´s own.

Clutch disc and pressure plate is 914, but throw out bearing is "special" 912 E only. Nr. 923 116 081 00
