I remember years back someone telling me how to set the headlamps by facing the buggy so many feet away from flat surface and adjusting height to so many feet. Is there a rule of thumb like this for setting my headlights? Thanks |

I use the concept of the smooth wall at some distance, and just put beams at a slight down angle....
A little cruise at night will show where your light pattern is and if you need to adjust up or down.... _________________ “Fear The Government That Wants To Take Your Guns"

Lots of how to examples on Youtube and elsewhere. I believe the technique is fairly universal.

I used to park my car behind another car at following distance and aim the lights so that, at low beam, the top of the beam was just below the front car's rear view mirror. _________________ “If you care for a thing long enough, it takes on a life of its own, doesn't it? Definitely not a truck or a sports car. It was usually just a normal sedan. Miata drivers would just have to deal. _________________ “If you care for a thing long enough, it takes on a life of its own, doesn't it?
