Roof looks great now.

I like that you painted it red first so you could burn through it for the faded look.

This bus is awesome. I don't understand all the negativity earlier in this thread. I do understand and appreciate the push for originality, and I absolutely adore an unrestored VW. But this one seems to have gotten a lot of love.

To me it's one thing if something is 'customized' in a haphazard, low-quality kind of way. But everything done to this one looks to be of high quality, looks great, and functional. I'd be stoked if my bus was half this nice.

Last time I was out to see this 15 window was 2010, just before Greg got it. It has come a long way, and looks great, way better than almost getting crushed.

I first was there in 94/95 and it was very "Deliverance" like atmosphere.




Bus looks great! Love the interior. Who is KN that sells those safaris?

It's awesome to see another bus running and driving in the IE. I love what you did with the roof with the sealing wax red and then the BG.

I was more worried about getting the correct frame profile, they use the same latches as wolfgang.

Ahh. So you replaced the latch bases for the correct ones.

who did you get the bases from? I have some old Bus Boys on one of my buses id like to swap out
