WOW that looks like it worked pretty good. Almost ready for a clear coat. Wink I know where I live that surface rust would grow like crazy. Crying or Very sad

Nah, no clear coat for me. When it comes home full time I will definitely have to keep up on it. Here are a few pictures of the drivers door:

I also worked on getting the old repro mat replaced. Found part of the original anthracite mat stuck to the cargo liner, yay. I did my best to get it off cleanly but it didn't work out too great. I might replace this cargo liner...

In the meantime, I put a new mat in it.

If you want to try painting your new rear mat with a vinyl paint to come close to the original factory grey, SEM's "Storm grey" or "Warm grey" could work-

Scrub the mat with dishwashing detergent and a soft brush, dry it off, let it sit in the sun for a few hours to warm up. Then apply the spray in several light coats.

Thanks! Yeah, I'll eventually do another round of polishing and keep it waxed. I might try a bit of 409 or CLR as well.
