I'm going to stop posting on my thread "separating body and chassis", since body and chassis are well, separated..

Instead, I will post my progress in this thread.
Yesterday, I pulled the chassis out of the garage, and power washed it.
Today I started to clean up the rails on which the body will sit, on it's new gasket.
Removed the old goop with a heat gun and scraper, and finished cleaning up with a drill and wire brush.
Once done, applied a coat of etching primer.

While I was working, in noticed this :
The transmission has 2 switches : One one the right side (upper in the pic), which is the switch for the reverse lights.
But I have no idea what the other one is ?

Also removed the steering column, and noticed that it has a double bracket where it attaches to the body..
Is this normal, or some mod ?
