Can damaged TruLine cutters be repaired. If these can’t really be repaired can they be made from scratch?

I’d buy new ones if there is a source, but I kinda doubt they’re available anymore since Hank is long gone. Who knows, maybe somebody does make them or knows how?

don't know if they have the exact same thing, but I bet you could find something that would work:

Thanks for the reply. I’ve been hitting the web hoping to get lucky. So far nothing, but these cutters had to be an off the shelf item once upon a time.

Thanks for the link. I hadn’t looked at that old thread for a while and now it’s got my answers. Figures.

Check industrial tooling supplies, they are a standard boring bit, cannot remember the brand name, but not specific to line bore bars.

They can be sharpened also, especially one in second pic.

Look around for a tool bit repair shop, similar to this one: https://www.jewellgroup.com/industrial-cutting-tools/tool-reconditioning/

It looks like what they call "cemented carbide", although in actuality it is a piece of carbide brazed to a steel holder. They can replace the broken carbide piece and sharpen the others. Ask them which carbide is best for the application, there are different grades for different materials.
