Hi, I have the tattered remains of the original window scraper and wire.
I am not concerned about originality and would like the cheapest and easiest to install solution available , any advice?
Cheers Jack |

I just did this on my 52 and WW was the only place that sells correct rubber scrapers in stock. Make sure to apply Talc powder liberally to the rubber before and after installing (This is VERY IMPORTANT!)
I purchased 4 scrapers and 4 clip wires. I trimmed the edges of the scrapers 90 degrees on end and to proper length. I used a razor blade to slit the rubber with slots for the wire clip to push through along the length. I notched a very thin screwdriver with a grinder and file to use as a tool in order to push the wire clips into the holes. Use a small paint brush to final coat the talc powder so the window glass can glide freely without pulling the rubber scraper out of place. |
