Well they are both reversable but I agree that the Papler is just totally wrong. The way I see it a Heb was originally designed as a "sportscar" version of the beetle so I dont see anything wrong with that.

I think it is even worse when Hotrodders channel and chop tops on rare 20's and 30's cars and put som superbigblock engines in them though... Shocked

Anyone has the pict of the slammed Schwimm? I saw a small pict of it at a show coverage in a (w/in a year old?) VolksWorld sub-texting the owner found the body w/o the chassis and stuck it on a bug chassis until he can find a correct one.

A schwimmer dosnt sit on a seperat floorpan as bug so that cant be true,
but I´recall hearing quite the same story about a kûbelwagen, there is atleast 1 in Denmark on the a wrong florpan.

Well I saw pictures of it personally, and a chassis can be modified to fit any body to suit, right? And the Schwimm body wasn't coplete, needed full resto so it may have been missing the bottom half, convinent to put onto a modified bug chassis, right?

Kubels share the same chassis as a bug so it's a direct swap, most Kubels I've seen for sale lately are on bug chassis.

Okay everything is possible if you really want to do it, and yes
maybe the bottom half have been in poor shape so it could be done.
