while driving my 1973 ghia. When I open the trunk, I hear bubbling sounds from my dual carbs...then I touched the screws and felt gas all over. There is a leak somewhere but I can't seem to pinpoint it..does anyone have any idea where the leak is coming from? Thank you for your response.

I had a similar problem on my 73 beetle. I have a single carb but the problem was a sticking float. You might want to check it out.

You may have a float that is stuck, or has a hole in it allowing gas into the float itself. I have a Weber carb that had a crack in the side of it, and gas was all over it. Another thing to look at is fuel pressure. You don't want more than about 3 psi at the carbs.
