What guage sheet metal for a bus?

I am doing some body repair on my bus and don't have any donor parts. I need to weld in a few small nickel sized holes in one dogleg and was wondering what guage of sheet metal matches up to the bus metal.

20ga works well. 18ga is a bit too thick and harder to cut by hand.
