Congrats Gavinskii, I'm so glad someone on here got it- It's been sitting here a while and obviously I've never used it as I thought that would devalue it...but the temptation for toasty goodness has been torture. That and the curiosity to see the toast. So post the toast once you get it, please. Very Happy

When I moved into my house the previous owner was a little old lady who saved a basement full of those papers and left them for me...along with about 2,000 glass jars full of home canned vegetables from the 70's. Happy you finally got it Gavin! So as a cool sidenote, you should try googling volkswagen toaster now. There are bunches of articles about it now, and most of them were spurred by the ebay auction. My pics of it are all over the place, and long forums about the sale price and wish lists. Your purchase created a buzz!

collected this from gavinskii today.(he bid for me as it was a christmas present for 'er indoors).got a question for any electrical people reading.
as this toaster is 100 volt and in the uk we are 240volt...would it damage it if i ran it through a 110 volt adapter?? would the extra 10 volts make much difference? i use some dewalt 230volt tools through the 240,so in theory it should be ok???
i don't understand electric much-i just want the wife to have some nice toast on christmas morning of which i will post some pics.

Can't you use a voltage step-down transformer?
