I traded in my '05 Impreza Outback Sport SE last year.
Hated that car. It didn't get that great of mileage, the auto transmission shifted oddly after a year (even though the service people assured me it was normal after repeated complaints), and I had to put two O2 sensors in it. The OEM tires sucked as it would not grip the road in snow at all. Replacing them made a remarkable improvement in traction. |
That is why I won't buy one. They are great cars all the way around except the mileage. I have no use for a 4 cylinder car that gets 22-26mpg. (I know it is because they are heavy...).
I drive an '04 Jetta and run Bridgestone Blizzacks on steel rims in the winter and that car is unstoppable.... _________________ John Henry

My legacy is really good on gas. I drive it to work mostly and I work about 13 miles each way from my house. I put $30 unleaded in the tank 1 time a week.
My friend had an 84 subaru 3dr and it had over 200k miles on it...It ran like new. He beat the day lights out of it and sold it to someone that drove it for another 2 years. He sold it....Wonder if it is still around.
My relative would only buy Subaru wagons. They had an outback and they went off the road and flipped into a ditch and walked out of the car.
The guy that sits next to me at work has a WRX. It is around 8 years old and it still runs like new. Never had 1 problem with it.
Subaru knows how to build them. |
