Does anyone know where I can get "tar boards" that glue to the floor under the floor mat? All I've been able to find are thin rubber ones. I'm looking for something as close to the original as possible.

I've seen them available from places like Wolfsburg West. I bought a 79 Super Vert that had been sitting in a parking lot for a couple of years, and it had one of those tar boards on the right side front floor pan, which was original (the other side had been replaced). When I tried to pull it up to check on the condition of the floor, it broke because of the glue. After pulling up a whole bunch of bits and pieces of the board I found much rust under it. So beware if you get those boards, you may not want to glue them so you can check periodically on the floor's condition.
