:fist: If my next IP is the State Hospital for VW Insane.... Very Happy

I just added a federal 1980 2.0L aircooled automatic to my ever expanding fleet of Vanagons... The family actually uses my vans more and more. Needed an automatic badly for my mom.

The federal version I am told, (KARL??????) is one with unique ECU, and cat????

Also, any issues with these automatics that I need to know about?
Shame on you

Laughing I've been lusting for another automatic after rolling that Carat in Texas on March 2,

my guess, is the air cooled with the automatic Embarassed is going to be a real hot rod like my diesel vanagons, aka "the turtles"

but, its not an issue Wink its a lifestyle Rolling Eyes

Karl is my best source of info when it comes to air cooled, I can put a diesel together blind folded, put a 16v A-2 also together, not so blind folded but at least where they run.....

the air head experience is a whole new thing.....
