I put a couple guages up in my AC ducting. Fit perfectly.

Also have two in the center console.

Holy thread revival. I did this swap 11 years ago. Westy is still running strong. I haven't driven it much the past few years because I added a Sportsmobile E350 and converted to 4x4 (for a long-distance work/live situation). Didn't really like that - SMB interior quality is inferior to Westy. Sold it, then bought a Transit with a Quigley 4x4 conversion and did a decent interior build. Love it! But it is more for work and isn't nearly as fun as the Syncro. The Syncro has been a bit neglected, but we're headed out tomorrow for a few days camping in it. Have missed the Samba community for sure.
