Car looks to be pretty complete. Maybe you can find a better body and transfer parts over. One thing you will find with with a Ghia is that the parts are more expensive than a beetle and harder to come by.

Good luck with whatever you do...

It's good to see so many Karmann Ghias that are being brought back to life.

Congrats on your KG, buddy!

This is the thing ,I am willing ..The only thing holding me back is how bad is it under that 10 year old paint .I do see some metal patches from the inside and some fiberglass ..The floor pan and rockers I could replace ..

This is the fiber glass in the front .I believe the fresh air vent is gone and they just threw some fiber glass in there and painted it black.

1800 for the car .The most I want to pay is 1000,At least if it is really bad .I could sell the parts and get my initial investment back ..The hood seams and trunk seams and doors are 98% great ..

Again, RUN!

That's my 74. I'll probably finish it. It was in much better shape than that one body wise, yet it's still been a LONG process. It's cheaper, and easier to get a better car to begin with. You could by an $800 Ghia from CA, and spend $1000 having it shipped to you and be WAY ahead of the game.

All Ghias had that trim. Some people remove it for a more Cal Look. Personally, I think Ghias don't look right without it. Bugs look nice without their, but Ghias look awful.

I think they look better with it ..I want this car ...He wants 1800 for it ..I am thinking 1000.00 ..I am willing to cut and weld the body quarters and heater tubes ,Rockers ..I am worried the drive train frame is bad .You can't see it until you split the body from the chassis ...
