why on earth restore it back to its "glory".

. it actually looks old compared to the restored pieces that look like they were made yesterday - patina is a good thing. if it had been a rat i would agree with you - but now ... very very nice car Wink

i appreciate the whole patina thing as much as the next guy. but when it comes to an original heb i think a rare car like this should be restored eventually.

Jimmy, I have to agree with these guys. I love the patina on this Heb. The lowered ride height and rims can be changed in a weekend, especially since he has most of the original stuff to do it. If you can look past that you will see an original and rare car that has been lovingly preserved. The process of disassembly and restoration would wipe that slate clean.

Congratulations on your car I like it just as is now, maybe the previous owner will feel better after he know the car is driveable again. take him for a ride if he improves his condition and get all the history.

i guess you didnt read my first post all the way through because i said have fun with it in the meantime. im only saying that someday it would be cool to restore someday. either way i like the car alot and the patina does look cool but this car deserves to be restored at one point. i understand it has been preserved and that is great. either way nice car i would love to own one someday but probably wont. so if that day comes i can do whatever i want to it and be happy. just like this guy is doing.
