Just a couple more details and another one will leave the building. I'm hoping Jesse brings it to the VW Treffen. Maybe if I guarantee it won't break down on the way home?

Looks pretty nice.

What is the black apparatus under the carburetor, near the top of the intake manifold?

Do you need a fuel pump?

Do those no-accelerator pump carburetors normally drip?

If the throttle plate bushings are worn it could drip there.
It could drip at the inlet fitting if damaged.

My 26s don't drip. But that plate is kind of cool.

Is it just the pic, or does the regulator have a spring bale wire over it?

Nice work Lenny.

Something's wrong with the generator or backing plate. The regulator is off axis for some reason. Confused
