Well.... Its a bit more than a year later and today, I received my final restitution check from our buddy, Kyle. Having moved to CA, I doubt that I will get the chance to personally 'thank' him, but whatever. His contribution to my ever-dwindling bank account helped me out this week. And I am the process of restoring the swamp cooler to its OG glory. Thank goodness too, 'cause its DAMN HOT HERE and the swamp cooler works great. 
Bully for me.

Ahhh.... To be 18 and still afraid of the Law. I never thought I'd see a dime, but it came through. Now, if I can only have the same luck tracking down my step-daughter's go-cart that was snagged 2 months ago...
